What do you need to start using Wallet?

In order to activate Wallet, you need to download the app and create an account with your email address, password and phone number.

Subsequently, you will need to verify your identity with Bit2Me, confirm and verify that you are you.

Bit2Me needs to verify your identity in order for you to use Bit2Me services in the app. This process is done solely for the purpose of complying with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations.

After verification you will have full access to all Bit2Me functionalities in the Wallet app. Verification can take up to 24-48 hours maximum.

The data required to verify your identity will be:

  • Full name.
  • E-mail address (validated in the registration process).
  • Postal address.
  • Date of birth.
  • Mobile phone number (validated in the registration process).
  • Identity document number (issuing country, document type and document number).
  • Photographs of your identity card.
  • Selfie.

You will be able to access Wallet from the app on any device, just with your email and password.

What can you do with Wallet?

Cash in

You can load your wallet with euros via bank transfer or your card.

  • Loading funds in your local currency via bank transfer has no fee by Bit2Me, but using a card does.

Crypto exchange

Cryptocurrencies can be exchanged from euros to crypto, from crypto to euros and also between cryptos.

This process carries a fee associated with the exchange rate, which is updated depending on the value of the cryptocurrency in the market.

The exchange rate may include a spread of up to 1%. The spread is the difference between the buying and selling price, and it helps us ensure a static execution price for a certain period. In this way, the spread acts as a protection mechanism for both the buyer and the seller against rapid changes in cryptocurrency prices.

Send cryptos

You can send cryptocurrencies immediately using only the phone number to your contacts registered in Wallet. For transfers between TU Wallet apps, the phone number must be registered. This operation is completely free (no cost or commission).

Cash out

You will be able to withdraw funds in euros to your bank account. This operation has no fees by Bit2Me but may be subject to fees and charges depending on the financial institution.

Online payments

To make purchases using your digital card you will need to have completed the Bit2Me Full Verification Process.

  • Trading with your virtual card is completely free (no fees or commissions).

What virtual currencies does Wallet have?

We set your local currency (euros) as a reference framework, so you always know and understand how much money you are dealing with. Through the app, you can trade with a selection of cryptocurrencies with the highest market capitalization:

  • Bitcoin (BTC).
  • Cardano.
  • Ethereum (ETH).
  • Solana.
  • USD Coin.

Investment in crypto assets is not regulated, may not be suitable for retail investors, and the entire amount invested could be lost.

Operate securely in the Wallet app

Service provided by Bit2Me

The cryptocurrency service is provided by Bit2Me (Bitcoinforme SL), the first exchange registered with the Bank of Spain with number D592. Registration in this registry does not imply any approval or verification of the activity carried out by providers of virtual currency exchange services for fiat currency and electronic wallet custody by the Bank of Spain.

Wallet Custodian

Bit2Me takes care of maintaining and securing your digital assets for protecting your funds safely, avoiding exposure to potential online threats.

Level of infrastructure

Wallet is secured by Telefónica and Bit2Me engineers, protecting your communications and data, constant monitoring, multi-signature cold and hot wallet policy with decentralised governance protected in triple perimeter security vaults.
